Painting with Water ~ Easy Toddler Play

Looking for a super easy way to keep a toddler busy?  Hang up a piece of butcher block paper and let him paint with water!

The first time we tried this out, I gave him a paint brush and let him hold a little cup of water.  Big mistake, he just wanted to dump the water onto the paper.  I took the cup away and just gave him a wet paint brush.  He did much better this way and would bring me the brush when it was dry and I would dip it for him.
Little Guy found a paint brush recently and really wanted to paint, so we gave water painting another go!  This time, he did GREAT holding the cup of water and was able to "paint" all on his own!
Check out those nice straight lines!
This activity is SO easy and, for the most part, mess free!  I definitely recommend trying it out!
